I choose the image with Governer Ann Richards

I choose the image called, "White Hot Mama" because it's humorous, and a little unexpected. It is not everyday that the media shows an older lady, especially a lady like Governor Ann Richardson a motorcycle in a pose that kind of looks like something one of the younger ladies that grace the covers of many magazines would do. I think no harm was done since the governor herself did not mind the picture, even though her face was either digitally or manually attached and blended to almost match the pose of the model who was on the motorcycle. Most likely this image was digitally modified. This photo originated as the July 1992 cover of TexasMonthly magazine. The editors even left left information in their credit page that this photo was not real picture, it was edited. This picture was edited to gave praise to the governor, and depict her as a lady who is held in high regard and apparently somebody thinks she's a pretty nice nice looking lady to, to go forth and publish such an image!

  1. If it's done in good humor, then hey! Martha Stewart and Gov. Ann Richards should just laugh about it. I don't think it's harmful at all either. Well done.

  2. I agree, this definitely isn't harming anyone. As long as she likes it and gave consent its harming no one. I still believe it is a bit deceptive, however that's my personal opinion. good job Kwame.

  4. This picture is very funny! It's good that she is easy going enough not to care, especially since its not displaying her in a negative light.
